Priscilla Hill-Ardoin is founder and president of The Aaron Ardoin Foundation for Sickle Cell Research and Education (AAF). Established in 2005, the AAF is committed to increasing awareness, promoting prevention, enhancing treatment and advancing the cure of sickle cell disease. The foundation serves its mission by awarding grants to non-profit organizations committed to helping those who suffer the scourge of sickle cell disease. Prior to establishing The Aaron Ardoin Foundation, Hill-Ardoin enjoyed a storied career in telecommunications for over 32 years, and is a retired officer of AT&T. Hill-Ardoin has become recognized through the years for her generous charitable work and community service. She is the recipient of numerous awards, among them, the San Antonio Chamber’s Tribute to Women Business Leaders Legacy Award, United Negro College Fund Excellence in Education Award, Voices for Children Super Hero Award, and Girls Inc. Strong Smart and Bold Award, and has been inducted into the Minority Media and Telecom Council Hall of Fame in Washington, D.C.Currently, Hill-Ardoin serves as a director for Enterprise Holdings, Inc., is a trustee for Washington University in St. Louis, a director for Haven for Hope Transformational Center for the Homeless in San Antonio, and external advisory committee member of the Vanderbilt-Meharry-Matthew Walker Center of Excellence in Sickle Cell Disease in Nashville.
