Management classManagement exposes students to the leadership and administrative tasks involved in transforming complex organizations in today’s rapidly changing world. The Department of Management is known for its strong programs built by award-winning scholars and teachers who are experts in strategic management, human resource management, organizational behavior, international management, organization theory and ethics.

The department offers a variety of degree options at the undergraduate and graduate level. Graduates of our programs obtain a strong foundation in the core areas necessary to lead individuals, groups and organizations in a competitive global marketplace.

We strive to be known for excellence in the broad domains of the effective management of people and of organizations. Our faculty’s research has appeared in such top scholarly outlets as Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management, Organization Science, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Personnel Psychology and Strategic Management Journal.

Human Resources Management Track

The Human Resource Management track offers students the opportunity to attain expertise in hiring, training, and compensating a workforce. This program fully aligns with the Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) HR Curriculum Guidelines. Students can declare this track after being admitted to the program and meeting with an academic advisor.
